Base Location: Within the Sloy Awe Section at Clachan, Inverawe or Sloy Power Stations, Argyll & Bute
Salary: £58,630 - £68,098 depending on skills and experience + car / car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role
As part of the Sloy Awe Section Hydro Maintenance Engineering team, you'll be accountable for the delivery of a wide range of Control & Instrumentation (C&I) operational, maintenance and project work.
You will
- Maintain, test and resolve defects in SCADA, PLC, Protection and Excitation Systems associated with Large Rotating Plant, HV Electrical Systems including SIL rated control systems and associated infrastructure.
- Oversee and maintain the Maintenance Management System as part of the Hydro Asset Integrity strategy within your responsibilities.
- Provide technical support to stakeholders including first responders, project teams, and remote-control room staff.
- Identify, manage, and implement plant reliability and upgrade projects.
- Attain and maintain a high-level Safe Systems of Work authorisation, enabling hazard identification and control, and safety documentation issuance.
You have
- Strong knowledge and experience of C&I systems, engineering plant, and apparatus relevant to hydro generation and infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills, motivation, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and confidence to challenge issues professionally.
- A Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline; other qualifications considered based on experience.
- Understanding of Safe System of Work, health and safety regulations, and ability to attain and maintain high-level safety authorisation.
- Advanced problem-solving skills, practical and logical thinking, with analytical writing ability.
Note: A valid driving license is essential as travel between sites is required.
