Join to apply for the School Standards Board - Community Member (Governor) role at Glyn School. We are looking for committed individuals from the local community to share viewpoints, experience, and fresh ideas to enhance opportunities for children and families within the community. This is a four-year opportunity as a School Standards Board (SSB) member.

* is able to listen, reflect and learn from a range of viewpoints
* has the ability to establish clear expectations for school leaders
* can analyse and interpret data and statistics
* has the confidence to ask questions and challenge school leaders in an appropriate way

About Glyn School
Glyn School is a high performing school with an Ofsted ranking of Outstanding since 2009. It is a vibrant school for boys aged 11-16 with a flourishing mixed Sixth Form. Founded in 1927, the school has a history of academic, sporting and artistic excellence. In 2014 we were designated a teaching school, representing outstanding and innovative practice nationally.

The Details
Being a member of the SSB does require time commitment. SSBs meet formally once per half term (6 meetings across the academic year) and follow an annual work plan. You are also required to attend training and undertake school visits relevant to your areas of responsibility. While the role is voluntary, you may claim travel expenses if needed.
