About the role
We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Private Client Solicitor to join our growing team in Chester. Reporting directly to the Partner and Head of Private Client, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality private client services, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Estate Administration, and Trusts. What you’ll be doing
* Managing a varied caseload of private client matters, ensuring all work is completed accurately, reliably, and in line with Lexcel and SRA standards.
* Driving fee income by maintaining strong time-recording, billing, and cash collection practices.
* Building and nurturing client relationships, providing professional and approachable client care.
* Contributing to business development initiatives and marketing activities to support team and firm-wide growth.
* Supervising and supporting colleagues when required, ensuring high standards across the team.
* Preparing legal documents and correspondence using the firm’s case management system.
* Maintaining both paper and digital files in line with firm procedures.
* Actively developing new business opportunities through your professional network and contacts.
* Attending team meetings and contributing to the wider success of the group.
What we’re looking for
* A qualified Solicitor (NQ+) or Chartered Legal Executive (or equivalent).
* Previous experience in private client work (Wills, Powers of Attorney, Estate Administration, Trusts).
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
* A team player with a positive, proactive attitude.
* Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
* Commercial awareness with the ability to balance client service and business needs.
* Strong IT skills and the ability to work confidently with case management systems.
