Position
Senior Geoscientist • Oxford • £40,000 - £50,000
Responsibilities
* Reviewing and interpreting offshore geophysical and geotechnical datasets
* Developing engineering geological desk studies and integrated ground models
* Undertaking geohazard assessments and cable burial risk assessments
* Producing high-quality technical reports
* Utilising GIS tools for geoprocessing, data management and visualisation
* Geodata acquisition, including preparing pre-operational documentation and supporting the collection of UAV-based photogrammetry, LiDAR, magnetometer and USV bathymetric datasets
* Geological mapping, data processing and reporting
* Contributing to tendering activities, assisting with proposals, costings and client liaison
* Supporting project delivery through programme management and budget tracking
Requirements
* Degree in Earth Sciences, Geology or a related discipline (essential)
* Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (desirable)
* Experience within offshore geoscience or a similar sector
* Strong geological problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Experience interpreting offshore geophysical and geotechnical datasets
* Proficiency in GIS software (e.g. ArcGIS)
* Strong technical report writing and communication skills
