Role Overview
We’re looking for a Head of Cross-Platform to lead our world‑class Rust cross‑platform team to the next level. You'll drive the long‑term technical vision and make bold strategic bets to push the envelope of our internal SDK while managing the team.
Compensation: up to 140k (local currency) plus stock options.
Remote‑friendly within 3‑hour flight from Paris; fully reimbursed visits to Paris once a month; relocation support up to €10k and visa sponsorship for France‑based positions.
Responsibilities
* Long‑term strategy and execution of our internal Rust‑based engine, covering rendering, document model, data synchronisation and real‑time collaboration.
* Cross‑functional partnership: serve as the keystone behind iOS, Android, Web apps and API.
* Team leadership: scale the team while maintaining culture, excellence, fostering knowledge‑sharing and bottom‑up initiatives.
* Technical excellence: code review, performance optimisation and troubleshooting complex issues.

About You
* Proven experience leading deeply technical teams within product companies, with strategic decision‑making and hiring/mentorship experience.
* Technical depth for mentorship: spot code issues, debug failures, analyse performance bottlenecks, guide ICs through complex technical challenges.
* Cross‑platform experience building tools and libraries for developers, in Rust or C/C++.
* Cross‑functional collaboration: work closely with Engineering, Product, Sales, etc.; simplify deeply technical topics into understandable terms.
* Empowering leadership style with technical credibility: set context, maintain hands‑on expertise, code review proficiency, opinionated technical guidance.
Nice‑to‑haves
* Experience leading engineers working on rendering APIs (OpenGL, WebGL, Vulkan, Metal, WebGPU, DX12, etc.).
* Experience ensuring maintainability and scalability of large (>100k LOC) Rust codebases.
* Experience with text‑rendering or vector‑graphics editing pipelines.
