Overview
An energy organisation is seeking a Non-Commodity Pricing Specialist to support forecasting, modelling, and management of non-commodity costs across electricity and gas portfolios. The role ensures pricing accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with market and regulatory changes, contributing to commercial performance.
Responsibilities
* Forecast and analyse non-commodity costs (distribution, transmission, environmental, and regulatory).
* Maintain and enhance pricing models for accuracy and scalability.
* Collaborate with internal teams to validate cost assumptions and support bespoke pricing.
* Investigate forecast-to-actual variances and recommend improvements.
* Automate and streamline analytical processes using SQL, Python, or BI tools.
* Monitor market and regulatory developments, assessing their impact on pricing.
* Produce clear reports and dashboards to inform decision-making.
Requirements
* 4+ years’ experience in energy pricing, forecasting, settlements, or analytics.
* Strong understanding of GB electricity and/or gas non-commodity costs.
* Advanced Excel and data handling skills; experience with SQL or Python.
* Strong analytical and communication abilities.
