New Vacancy – Procurement Manager
Location: Northampton, NN1 (Hybrid)
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £46,000 to £56,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, full time
About the Role
1. Develop and implement a robust procurement strategy aligned with the University’s goals.
2. Oversee high-risk procurement activities and tenders, ensuring compliance and best value.
3. Lead the procurement team, driving continuous improvement and efficiency.
4. Represent the University in external purchasing consortia and procurement groups.
5. Manage the procurement of insurance policies and mitigate institutional risks.
Skills & Experience:
6. In-depth knowledge of public sector procurement regulations
7. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
8. Proven ability to deliver savings through procurement initiatives
9. Experience managing large-value tenders
