We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Support Worker to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs to make a real difference in their education and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored one-to-one or small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. Assist teaching staff in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning goals. Encourage independence, confidence, and social interaction through positive reinforcement and consistent care. Support pupils with daily routines, emotional regulation, and sensory needs. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents/carers to ensure the best possible outcomes for each child. Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reviews as required. About You: Essential: Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs in an educational, care, or community setting. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A proactive attitude and genuine passion for supporting young people. An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one). Desirable: Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Health and Social Care, or equivalent). Knowledge of autism support strategies, PECS, or Makaton. Experience working in a specialist school environment.
