About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planner to join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team to work at Sellafield, Seascale.
Role Purpose:
As the successful Senior Planner, covering all multi-discipline MEP services, under supervision of the Planning Manager, Project Lead or Bid Manager, you will be responsible for implementing the requirements of the tender and / or project planning procedures throughout the entire project life cycle, ensuring compliance with the business management system.
What you'll be doing
Key Accountabilities:
1. Ensuring that the programme content is functionally compliant with the planning procedures and guidance
2. Identifying planning scope, major constraints, and contract requirements
3. Identifying major quantities and factors affecting the programme
4. Establishing and agreeing with Operations and Bid Team key methods of construction, sequencing, installation, and commissioning
5. Producing and documenting the planning deliverables including programmes, planning philosophy, presentations, and reports.
6. Developing overall programmes, issuing to all parties for review and implementing recommendations, innovation, and best practice as applicable
7. Interfacing with all KDPs (Key Delivery Partners) & third parties on Sellafield to identify and resolve issues
Who we're looking for
Key Skillset Required:
8. Proven prior experience working on mid-large scale construction / Engineering projects in a Project Planning capacity
9. Prior experience working as part of a site team, a busy site environment, multi-disciplinary services (digital, design, production, commercial & planning)
10. Ideally experience of various reporting cycles I.E. Earned Value Management, Variance Analysis, Critical Path Methodology, Quantity Tracking
11. Solid and proven Primavera P6 and MS Excel experience
