Job Description – Social-First Content Producer (Fixed-Term Contract) Contract Type: 6-month fixed-term employed by Golley Slater, working exclusively on Transport for Wales projects Working Pattern: Part-time, 3 days per week Location: Hybrid (with at least one anchor day per week in TfW offices, ideally Tuesday) Reports to: Golley Slater Content Lead (HR and line management) and TfW Marketing Team (day-to-day direction) Role Purpose We’re looking for a creative, social-first Content Producer to help shape Transport for Wales’ digital presence. This role focuses on creating engaging, platform-appropriate content that amplifies marketing campaigns, drives brand engagement, and taps into cultural and social trends. You’ll also play a key role in enabling user-generated content and supporting TfW’s ambition to create authentic, community-driven storytelling. You’ll be employed by Golley Slater for HR and support purposes, but your workload will be managed entirely by TfW. Day-to-day, you’ll collaborate closely with TfW’s marketing and social teams to deliver content that connects with audiences and builds brand affinity. Key Responsibilities Social-First Content Creation Develop creative, platform-appropriate content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Produce short-form video, animations, and graphics designed to maximise engagement and reach. Capture photography and video for campaigns and brand storytelling. Campaign Integration Translate campaign ideas into compelling social content that amplifies TfW’s marketing activity. Create content that supports campaigns and stands independently to build brand presence outside campaign cycles. Ensure all content aligns with TfW’s objectives, tone of voice, and visual identity. UGC & Community Engagement Support TfW teams in capturing and curating authentic user-generated content using mobile devices. Provide guidance and best practices for creating UGC that feels genuine and on-brand. Reactive & Trend-Led Content Monitor social trends and cultural moments to create timely, relevant content. Suggest and produce reactive content that keeps TfW’s social presence fresh and engaging. Performance & Optimisation Work with TfW’s social team to review analytics and adapt content for maximum impact. Apply insights to improve engagement and reach across platforms. Collaboration & Workflow Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met. Maintain organised workflows for content storage, version control, and asset management. Respond to feedback from TfW stakeholders and adapt content accordingly. Ensure bilingual (Welsh/English) and accessibility best practices are followed. Skills & Experience Essential Proven experience creating social-first content for marketing campaigns and brand storytelling. Strong understanding of social media platforms, formats, and audience behaviours. Strong filming and editing skills, with ability to self-shoot and deliver polished outputs. Ability to adapt creative ideas into multiple formats for different platforms. Excellent organisational skills, time management, and attention to detail. Creative flair and ability to generate new ideas aligned to campaign and brand objectives. Basic copywriting skills for captions and social posts. Desirable Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator). Experience producing content in a bilingual or multilingual context. Knowledge of accessibility standards for video and digital content. Familiarity with TikTok/Reels trends and short-form storytelling. Experience with influencer or creator collaborations. Photography skills. Familiarity with social media analytics and optimisation. Experience working with public sector, transport, or large-scale consumer brands. Full UK driving licence and access to transport for location filming. Contract Details Duration: 6 months fixed term Hours: 3 days per week Salary: Competitive salary, based on level of experience.
