Job Description: Technical Director of Process Safety
We have been asked to recruit for a Technical Director of Process Safety for a UK-based business. This role is similar in spec to a number we are working on now, but will have more of a customer focus to it! You would be the technical specialist when visiting new sites and have the ability and knowledge to discuss in detail process safety and the benefits of partnering with a huge consultancy.
The role:
1. You will be required to participate in and manage a range of client and internal projects focused on the provision of services to improve the design, operation, and maintenance of hazardous processing facilities on client sites.
2. This is a senior customer-facing role requiring good interpersonal skills, a head for business and management experience, as well as a desire to remain involved in the technical details.
Qualifications expected:
1. A chartered engineer with a degree in chemical or process engineering.
2. Experienced in design principles, processes, and standards for process plants.
3. Detailed understanding of relevant legislation, especially COMAH and DSEAR, and related codes, standards, and good practice.
4. Experience in the regulation of COMAH would be a distinct advantage.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
6. Ability to develop good relationships with colleagues and contribute constructively and effectively to projects as a part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Location: THIS ROLE CAN BE BASED ANYWHERE IN THE UK – Fully remote/hybrid (to suit project needs)
