Overview
We currently have 2 vacancies within Business Services supporting our Refuse & Recycling Service: 1 x Full Time Permanent and 1 x Full Time Temporary until 31.03.2026.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
You will be responsible for working with a customer focused Support Services team within Regeneration, Economy and Growth and Neighbourhoods and Environment, and will work closely with the Technical Staff to ensure the team are providing a quality back-office support service. You will provide support to the Refuse & Recycling service including a wide range of administrative tasks around bin collections and waste services using a range of bespoke ICT systems. You will also be responsible for challenging existing systems with an aim to eradicate paper and promote electronic data interchange/ filing where possible. Existing administration systems will be streamlined in accordance with lean systems thinking to remove unnecessary processes. A flexible approach must be adopted at all times and an ability to interchange between areas of work is essential.
* You will provide administrative support to the Refuse & Recycling service across related activities.
* Use a range of bespoke ICT systems for administrative tasks around bin collections and waste services.
* Challenge and streamline existing systems to reduce paper use and promote electronic data interchange/filing where possible.
* Contribute to lean processes to remove unnecessary steps in administration.
* Adapt to working in multiple areas as needed.
WHAT WILL I NEED?
You will have 5 GCSE’s (Grades A-C) or equivalent certificates will be requested. Please refer to the attached Person Specification for the full criteria.
INTERVIEWS
