Senior Management Accountant – Grimsby – £52,242 & Package
Chase & Holland are delighted to be working with a very well established, successful and forward thinking North Lincolnshire based, service sector business who are looking to recruit a dynamic Senior Management Accountant for an FTC until 18th December 2026. This role will suit a passionate, driven individual with a strategic mindset and a gravitas and technical capability to undertake this Chief Finance Officer position. You will play a critical role in business transformation, new opportunities for funding, diversifying income streams and play a key role in the investment and commercial strategy.

Senior Management Accountant responsibilities:
This is a fast paced and diverse role in which you will work closely with the Chief Finance Officer and the management accounts team, as well as working alongside the transactional and purchasing functions within the finance function.
* Oversee the preparation of the monthly management accounts and reporting packs including reviewing draft accounts, interrogate and prepare commentary
Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations and controls
* Senior budget holder review meetings monthly
* Supporting the preparation of timely VAT returns and claims
* Forecast and budget reporting
* Accurate upkeep of the budgets and strong communication with budget holder
* Being a key player in various projects and project tracking
* Assist in the implementation of a new system
* Responsibility for the internal and external audit procedures and requirements
Key requirements and preferences:
* The right person will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
* Ability to lead by example. Support and motivate the management accounts team and lead on the monthly reporting.
* The successful candidate will be driven with a key attention to detail, as well as strong organisation skills.
* Ability to interact effectively with all stakeholders, internally and externally at various levels
