Ludham and Stalham Green Surgeries are recruiting a receptionist. We are happy to consider applicants on a full or part-time basis. This essential front-line role helps patients access the right services, keeps health records accurate and up-to-date, and ensures that appointment bookings are well-managed.
Responsibilities
* Greeting and directing all patients
* Making appointments and providing appointment cards where required
* Accepting, issuing and handing out letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc.
* Dealing with information requests and managing problems and complaints
* Advising patients of practice procedures
* Registering new patients
* Answering the telephone promptly
We are looking for someone with excellent patient care and interpersonal skills to join our friendly team of administration assistants and receptionists. The successful applicant will have good communication skills, a polite telephone manner and a strong focus on patient service. Responsibilities include booking appointments, managing documents and supporting the running of the general practice. We welcome applications from organized, adaptable and friendly individuals who are keen to help us provide high levels of customer service and have the following attributes:
Qualifications and attributes
* Previous medical or healthcare receptionist experience is desirable
* Able to work in a polite, confidential and discreet manner, respecting patients at all times
* Experience of working with the general public, being sensitive and empathic in distressing situations
* Confident to work as part of a team and able to think on your feet, independently
* Strong IT and administration skills
* Some flexibility is required, as you may need to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues
