Pupil Support Assistant — Tynecastle High School
Salary: £25,905 - £26,111 (pro-rata for sessional and part time)
Hours: 17 hours 50 minutes per week
Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a team and contribute to the support of pupils with a wide range of needs and abilities in the school and curriculum.
* Be involved in pastoral care and pupil welfare to support a welcoming and respectful learning environment.
* Take part in training opportunities to develop skills in working with young people.
Qualifications and experience
* Conscientious, committed candidate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Previous experience of working in a school would be desirable but not essential.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required for candidates who have spent a continuous period abroad in the last 5 years. An unconditional offer of employment is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.
