About the Role
Veritas Education is delighted to be recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner (Level 2+ / Unqualified) to join a friendly and supportive nursery setting in Wakefield. This role is ideal for someone who is building their career in Early Years and is eager to gain hands-on experience while working towards further professional development.
You will support children during their crucial early years, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Support children's learning, development, and well-being in line with the EYFS framework
Assist in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities both indoors and outdoors
Work closely with qualified practitioners and the wider nursery team
Build positive and trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Follow safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure children's safety at all times
Requirements
Working towards or holding a Level 2 Early Years qualification (or above)
Previous experience in a childcare or early years setting is desirable
A genuine passion for working with young children
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
A willingness to learn and develop within an Early Years environment
Basic understanding of EYFS and safeguarding practices
