Culligan Shared Services is seeking a meticulous and organized Payroll Coordinator to join our HR Shared Services team in Dereham, Norfolk. This key role ensures the accurate and timely processing of payroll while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and company policies. You will work closely with the HR and Finance teams, providing essential support to ensure that employees are paid correctly and on time. This is a part-time position for 18-20 hours per week to be covered across 3-5 days. This role will: Provide Payroll and HR administration, whilst delivering an on-time payroll service via our HR & Payroll System & managed payroll solution with Moorepay. Support in the delivery of our full range of HR shared services such as new starter correspondence, employee change correspondence, payroll delivery, data reporting. Act as a Payroll advisor relating to payroll and benefit queries Hold the role of payroll expert for the allocated payroll account(s), completing each allocated payroll activity (lockdown and clearance) in accordance with the pre-agreed monthly timetables. Calculating and processing payments of sick pay, holidays, joiners, leavers, other ad-hoc or statutory payment Download monthly system preview reports in preparation for the monthly review and authorisation process Provide payment calculations and breakdowns to employees and/or managers. Issue P45s and final pay slips to any leavers within the period. Lead the monthly payroll sign-off process with key stakeholders (i.e. finance business partners), ensuring these take place in good time and with robust governance processes in place. Maintain GDPR compliance practices when managing and sharing employee and payroll data in applied in accordance with the GDPR Officer & company policy Lead the production of offer packs, variation of employment packs and leaver packs and central storage of all employee documentation (P file management). Support the production and maintenance of central template letters, and their associated process maps. Undertake ticket inbox management, meeting defined SLA’s to complete and maintain GDPR compliance practices when managing and sharing employee and payroll data in applied in accordance with the GDPR Officer & company policy Take the lead, where required, on managing and maintaining applicable benefit schemes. Provide factual Pension advice (not financial advice) to employees whether in or out of a pension scheme. Submit monthly contribution data via the pension provider portal. Collate and submit standing data changes via the pension provider portal (joiners, leavers, contribution updates, opt out/in). Responsible for managing auto-enrollment and re-enrolment activities Requirements Previous experience in payroll processing or a payroll administration role is essential. Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance. Attention to detail and accuracy in data input and calculations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) and payroll software. Excellent communication skills for dealing with employee queries. Ability to work efficiently within deadlines and manage multiple tasks. Strong organizational skills and capability to handle confidential information. Knowledge of HR processes and systems is an advantage. Payroll certifications (e.g., CIPP) is a plus.
