Family Paralegal (Legal Aid) – Opportunity in Watford!
Eclectic Recruitment is partnering with a well – established law firm looking for a Family Paralegal to join the Family Team, in the Watford Office due to expansion. You will be working with the Head of Department handling caseload and support fee earners with cases. This is a full-time, permanent position with hybrid working after probation.
Job Title: Family Paralegal
Salary: £25,000 – £32,000+ (DOE)
Location: Watford, (Hybrid available)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
We are looking for a driven and skilled paralegal with strong knowledge in Family Law and Legal Aid applications. You will be responsible for receiving instructions from the clients, managing own caseload from the start to finish an ensuring the best outcomes for clients.
Main Responsibilities:
* Supporting the solicitors with family law cases such as divorce, child custody and domestic abuse cases
* Conducting legal application by gathering documents
* Managing client files and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
* Conducting legal research and providing summaries
* Liaising with clients, courts, and third parties
* Preparing for hearings and clients meeting
* Assisting with billing and maintaining time records
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Strong knowledge of family law and legal aid procedures and documentation
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software
