The Role
Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in the lives of children and young adults with additional needs?
We are recruiting for Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Leeds LS14 from September. You will be working in a SEND provision supporting a cohort of SEND pupils in the schools SEND provision. Due to the needs of each children, you will need to be comfortable with personal care and challenging behaviour working both as an individual and a team to ensure that the child's needs are met. This role will most likely become a perm role for the right person.
Our Desired Autism Specialist Teaching Assistants Will Have:
1. Experience working with children or young adults with autism and/or other additional needs (education, care, youth work, or similar)
2. A resilient and resourceful attitude
3. A strong understanding of safeguarding and an awareness of severe and complex needs
4. An Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or be willing to undergo this check with The Edwin Group
