Responsibilities
* Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods to designated locations safely and efficiently.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and any incidents that occur during transport.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
* Ensure that cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
* Assist in loading and unloading cargo as required, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
Requirements
* Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record.
* Experience in flatbed driving is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients and team members.
* Physically fit, with the ability to lift heavy items as needed during loading and unloading processes.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.45-£16.75 per hour
Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
