YOUR IMPACT
Goldman Sachs is hiring in its Birmingham, UK office for an experienced Japanese to English translator. The ideal candidate will be a native-level English speaker with excellent Japanese reading skills and experience in equity research and/or financial translation.
This professional will work with research analysts and editorial staff, contributing to analytical research reports. They will be part of the Japan Content Management Group, responsible for translation, editing, clearance, and distribution of Japan Investment Research products.
Applicants should have extensive translation experience, preferably with knowledge of AI and machine translation tools. We seek a responsible, organized, detail-oriented team player capable of managing dynamic workflows and meeting tight deadlines.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage translation processes for research reports and ad hoc projects.
* Collaborate with research analyst teams.
* Meet deadlines and work professionally under pressure.
* Use proprietary applications.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
* At least 3 years of experience in equity research/financial/business translation, with experience in AI/machine translation tools.
* Strong knowledge of Japan and Japanese language trends.
* University degree preferred.
* Financial qualifications such as NYSE Series 16, CMA, CFA are advantageous.
* Understanding of accounting, securities, business, and economic concepts.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong interpersonal skills for managing internal relationships.
