RAC has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, early career Pricing Analyst to join our Breakdown Insurance Pricing team. Working alongside experienced analysts and senior pricing specialists, you’ll support our Acquisition trading performance through hands-on coding, analysis and commercial insight. What You’ll Do Pricing & Insight Deliver clear, timely analysis that supports daily and weekly Acquisition trading activity Identify and evaluate pricing opportunities backed by performance data and market insight Formulate pricing actions that improve commercial outcomes Use coding skills (such as SQL) to extract, structure and interpret data Report on pricing performance and produce MI that highlights opportunities for action Balance accuracy with pace and delivering analysis that is robust, pragmatic and commercially focused Support development of the Breakdown Pricing Strategy in response to regulatory change Governance & Execution Follow structured processes to ensure accurate, timely deployment of price changes Evaluate opportunities that leverage RAC’s unique data and capabilities Present insight clearly to stakeholders, highlighting commercial impact Ensure pricing activity remains compliant with governance and sign‑off frameworks Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Partner with the Acquisition Squad, commercial teams, Data Management and IT Build effective working relationships and confidently engage with senior stakeholders Operate as part of a highly supportive Pricing team with strong coaching, mentoring and development Contribute positively to a fast‑moving, collaborative environment What You’ll Bring Skills, Knowledge & Experience 1–2 years’ experience in Pricing, Analytics, Finance, Insurance, Banking or a similar field Strong SQL skills (essential) Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving ability Experience with modelling tools (Emblem, R, Python) beneficial but not essential Exposure to optimisation tools (Radar Optimiser, Earnix) helpful but not required Comfortable working with commercial targets, budgets and performance metrics Understanding of analytical or pricing techniques Personal Attributes Keen to make a real difference through impactful analysis Comfortable working at pace in a fast‑moving commercial environment Pragmatic and able to deliver the sweet spot of “good insight quickly” rather than pursuing perfection Self-sufficient with your workload, but collaborative and willing to lean on experienced teammates Strong communicator who brings personality as well as technical skill Curious, enthusiastic and eager to learn from a technically strong team Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels Qualifications Degree (2:1 or above) in a numerical discipline Location | Working Pattern | Salary This role follows a hybrid model, with required office attendance in our Bradley Stoke, Bristol office on Tues & Wed. Salary up to 35k depending on experience 8% conditional annual bonus.
