Drone Pilot cum Flight Engineer – Hawk Aerospace
Role Overview
Hawk Aerospace is hiring Drone Pilots cum Flight Engineers to operate and maintain our agricultural UAV fleet across multiple regions. This role combines hands-on flying of advanced drones for precision agriculture with technical engineering responsibilities such as UAV maintenance, troubleshooting, and system integration.
Ideal for self-motivated individuals passionate about UAV technology, this position offers direct exposure to both field operations and engineering while supporting sustainable farming practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. UAV Flight Operations
· Operate UAVs for spraying seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides over agricultural fields.
· Plan and execute GPS + RTK autonomous missions.
· Conduct pre-flight checks, flight testing, and performance evaluations.
· Navigate safely, identifying and avoiding obstacles and hazards unique to each field.
· Document flight operations, mission data, and test results.
· Coordinate with ground crews to ensure smooth operations.
2. UAV Engineering & Maintenance
· Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on UAV systems.
· Update firmware/software and calibrate UAV hardware.
· Assist in UAV assembly, payload integration, and autopilot tuning.
· Diagnose and troubleshoot UAV issues during field operations.
· Collaborate with engineering teams for debugging and implementing improvements.
Candidate Requirements
· Nationality: Indian nationals (students, workers, or residents in EU preferred).
· Education: Bachelor's/Master's in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electronics, or related fields.
· Experience: 0–8 years (fresh graduates with UAV exposure welcome).
· Preferred License: UAV Pilot License with UIN registration.
Skills Required:
· Strong knowledge of UAV/multirotor/VTOL flight dynamics and operations.
· Hands-on UAV assembly, repair, and system testing.
· Basic software knowledge for mission planning and troubleshooting.
· Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently or in a team.
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift 25 kg and work in outdoor conditions (day/night).
Other:
Proficient in English; additional EU languages a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
· Pay Structure: €8–15 per hour (based on project & location).
· Training: 3-month stipend-based training program before project deployment.
· Travel: 30–40% for preventive & corrective maintenance assignments.
