You might be experienced across consultancy/professional services and BPO/Outsourcing.
Then, there's another opportunity in banking operations, payments etc.
There are 3, possibly 4 roles across these different areas.
These roles all require the full end-to-end sourcing, category management and SRM.
The specific responsibilities of these roles is to operate as the procurement expert and deliver the following: * Build multi-year sourcing and category strategies using market data and industry trends, ensuring the true end to end cost picture, opportunities, risks and innovation are fully articulated and understood. * Lead and execute complex and strategic sourcing activity, understanding the impact on the cost income ratio * Drive cost and business benefits (tangible & intangible) to deliver against Procurement and business targets * Interpret business strategy and adapt into tangible sourcing and category plans * Actively identify benefit unlock through contract lifecycle management * Develop and lead strategic supplier relationships to obtain market leading commercial models and transformational innovation * Build, maintain and evolve senior stakeholder relationships to enable seat at the table to influence, at the right point, business decisions and strategies * Influence and contribute to the evolution of the Group SRM model * Operate at a highly skilled level to coach the business through the sourcing process enabling them to be market ready. * Use fact based decisioning to articulate options though the art of storytelling to senior stakeholders * Have a good understanding of the Financial Services regulatory framework * Agree pipeline of activities and strategies for transactional procurement, ensuring delivery of targets * Contribute to financial planning, including delivery of annual budget submissions, monthly forecasting, reviewing the spend versus budget status, key initiatives, opportunities and risk
