The FORWARD Project funded by PEACEPLUS is seeking an Administrative Officer to support the Project Coordinator and Finance Officer in the successful delivery of this regional initiative. Based at the lead partner Leafair Community Association the Administrative Officer will play a key role in ensuring smooth project operations and assisting with reporting and coordination. The role will involve some travel within Northern Ireland and the Southern Border Counties. We are looking for a proactive and organised individual with a strong interest in peace and reconciliation initiatives and a desire to be a key player in an impactful cross community and cross border project.We are looking for a well organised innovative and highly motivated Administrative Officer to ensure the smooth running of an exciting and impactful peacebuilding project.
Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support to the Project Coordinators and the Finance Officer.
* Assist in the preparation of reports, documentation, and correspondence for funders and stakeholders.
* Organise and facilitate meetings, events, and workshops related to the project.
* Liaise with project partners, community groups, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Maintain accurate records and databases related to project activities and finances.
* Support the Steering Committee, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
Skills and Qualifications
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and administrative systems.
* Willingness to travel throughout the region as required.
* Full clean Driving License and use of own vehicle
* Strong administrative and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging with diverse stakeholders.
* Experience in community work, particularly in cross community initiatives.
* Knowledge of peace and reconciliation frameworks and best practices.
* Previous experience working on EU-funded programmes, particularly PEACE or INTERREG funded projects.
* Experience supporting financial reporting and budget tracking.
* Strong problem solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project needs.
* Understanding of the needs of communities emerging from conflict.
