Offline CNC Programmer
£39,000 plus shift allowance OTE £49,300 plus outstanding large company benefits
Double day shift pattern – due to working hours own transport is essential
We are looking for an experienced Offline CNC Programmer to join a leading manufacturing company based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, their business is going from strength to strength and as an employer they can offer long term stability and career development.
You will be responsible for the offline programming & program editing of CNC machines using offline CAM packages. Ensuring CNC programs are scheduled to the machines on time.
**Initially commencing on a temporary contract but after just 12 weeks trial period you have the opportunity to secure yourself a permanent contract subject to satisfactory performance.**
Duties for Offline CNC Programmer
* Program all CNC machines offline using CAM package
* Design jigs & fixtures when required.
* Liaise with Lead Programmer, Manufacturing Lead and Shift Leaders to ensure effective planning of the programming department.
* Liaise with Tool Store Operatives to ensure new & existing cutting tools are in stock and available for the CNC Operators.
* Assisting Shop Floor Operatives with issues through editing of programs if required.
* Apply standard programming processes for parts.
* Adherence to Health and Safety policy
* Undertake formal & informal training as required to fulfill above responsibilities.
* Operation of CNC machines when needed.
* Assist in Ancillary departments when needed.
* Any other duties and ad hoc project work as and when required.
Experience required for Offline CNC Programmer
* Experience of using offline CAM Programming is essential along with CAD software
* Engineering apprenticeship
* Attention to detail
* Working to tight deadlines
