The role
As a Shock Test Engineer, you’ll have a role that is out of the ordinary, leading in analysis, stakeholder engagement, and providing management and hands-on support for shock lab operations.
Day-to-day, you’ll:
1. Liaise with customers to understand test requirements and generate bids
2. Lead the technical delivery of shock test programmes
3. Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring compliance with customer requirements
4. Operate and maintain the shock facility, directing day-to-day operations
5. This role is full-time onsite
Essential experience of the Shock Test Engineer:
6. Strong background in customer-facing roles, adept at stakeholder engagement
7. Hands-on experience in testing or technical fields, particularly in shock testing
8. Proficiency in relevant computer applications for shock testing and data analysis
9. Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and analyze shock test programs
10. Familiarity with instrumentation, electronic/mechanical testing, and test improvement methodologies
Essential Qualifications for the Shock Test Engineer:
11. HND as a minimum requirement or equivalent experience
Desirable Qualifications for theShock Test Engineer:
12. IOSH certification
13. First Degree in relevant field
14. Professional registration
