Position Overview:
Join Finning’s industry-leading field service department as a vital member of our in-frame team! You’ll be at the forefront of diagnostic and repair capabilities for Caterpillar products, working on CAT engines, generators, and components across various sectors.

Main Job Functions:
As a Finning Engineer, you will:
* Respond to customer field repair and service requests, diagnosing issues and providing detailed information for quotes.
* Estimate arrival times at customer sites based on job instructions.
* Communicate with site management to register your arrival and adhere to site procedures.
* Diagnose equipment problems using specialized tools and provide comprehensive details for quotes.
* Identify and requisition necessary parts for repairs, coordinating delivery timelines.
* Perform repair and service work on a variety of Caterpillar engines and generators.
Education and Experience:
* Valid LDV driving license.
* Formally trained (NVQ Level 3 preferred) with significant experience as a service engineer or equivalent.
* Experience with various gas and diesel engines and generators (both LV and HV).
Knowledge:
* Proficiency in field-based diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Experience in assembly and disassembly of diesel engines and components.
* Familiarity with Caterpillar large engines (e.g., 3400, 3500, 3600 series) and MWM, MAK series.
