Job Purpose: The purpose of the role is to manage day-to-day facilities operations, ensuring efficient and effective management at the Taunton location. The Facilities Manager will oversee a location or group of locations, encompassing task and people management, budget control, service delivery, and customer satisfaction. Key Tasks: The role involves managing local client and CBRE budgets, reporting any discrepancies. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the Soft Services component of the TFM contract. They will control and manage service charge accounts, providing monthly report data to the Account Manager. Ensuring client satisfaction is a key responsibility, achieved by meeting client SLR and driving acceptable service delivery performance. Strong communication lines are essential with the user population on all Business As Usual (BAU) activities. The role requires ensuring compliance with all legislative, client, and CBRE health, safety, and environmental requirements. Sharing best practices and collaborating with local, central, and third-party project managers to ensure fully integrated FM/projects delivery is also required. Maintaining a motivated team through management and personal development of all local-based staff is important. Organising monthly team meetings and performance management are also part of the role. The Facilities Manager will provide strong upward and downward communications within the team. Overall operational management within the designated site area is a core responsibility, including areas such as reception, post room, cleaning, security, and specialist sub-contractors. The ability to drive and deliver 1st Class service excellence with innovative and compelling ideas is essential. Development and implementation of a Customer Service strategy for the location is a key task. Developing partnering relationships with key clients within the location is also expected. Managing and motivating the team in line with IIP accreditation and guidelines is required. Delivery of the "One Team" methodology within the location is a key objective. Establishing in-depth knowledge of the client culture, with a particular focus on Real Estate and Site Organisation, is necessary. Close liaison with the Central support team to promote a consistent professional image of the CBRE image and brand is important. Promoting and sponsoring a culture of continuous improvement and best practice is also expected. The Facilities Manager will support the completion of the client monthly report. Managing resources, both human and technical, to maximise the quality of services delivered is a core task. Upholding and promoting the RISE Values is crucial. Following any reasonable management request is also expected. Person Specification: Education: A member of BIFM or another FM professional body is required. Ideally, the candidate should be educated to Degree level. Skills: People management skills and the ability to communicate at all levels are essential. PC literacy, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and ideally with Lotus Notes experience, is also required. Knowledge: Commercial and financial awareness is essential. A technical background with an understanding of HVAC systems within Buildings is also required. Experience: Previous operations experience of facilities management or service delivery, including possible specialist areas such as M&E, catering, security, and cleaning, is required.
