Overview
The Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale Podiatry team is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Advanced Podiatrist with a special interest in Diabetes and High Risk to join the team. The role is based at Springhill House, Scarborough, YO12 4AD. The service covers community Podiatry across 9 clinical locations and home visits.
Due to the rural geographical locations of our locality, applicants must have appropriate transport to reach any of these locations. On employment you will commence our Mentorship program, providing support, mentorship and supervision from a senior Podiatrist to develop skills and integrate within the team and allied professions.
The department can offer a variety of flexible working arrangements to meet clinical and personal needs.
Responsibilities
* Work alongside the locality team lead to support and develop junior team members. Mentoring colleagues and service development experience is essential.
* Work at a variety of locations within the Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale locality. The caseload will be a mix of community and hospital based clinics and domiciliary work.
* Be part of the Diabetes and High Risk team. Carry out wound care management, MDT clinic work (previous experience essential).
* Demonstrate good diagnostic and clinical skills, with strong organisational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications and Experience
* Advanced Podiatrist with a special interest in Diabetes and High Risk.
* Previous wound care management experience and MDT clinic work is essential.
* Good diagnostic and clinical skills, and strong organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
