Bidford on Avon Church of England Primary School Job vacancy: KS2 1:1 Teaching Assistant School Name: Bidford on Avon Primary School Fixed Term Contact – End of academic year Salary – Depending on Experience Working Hours – Monday- Friday 8.40am – 3.25pm (30-minute lunch) About Us & The Role Bidford on Avon CofE Primary School is seeking to recruit a passionate, resilient and empathetic teaching assistant to work 1:1 in Keystage 2 with children who have diverse needs linked to their Special Educational Needs. We are looking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for 31.25 hours per week. The role will be fixed term initially to the end of the academic year due to budgeting constraints and future needs. It is our intention that this role will be to support a child with SEMH needs so the successful candidate needs to have a passion for supporting children with additional needs and be able to use their initiative to adapt to the needs of the child. You will need to have an empathetic, nurturing approach and the ability to support the child to access their learning. Recent experience of working with children with additional needs would be an advantage (please include details in your application). You will join a supportive team and have the chance to grow professionally in a rewarding environment. We encourage you to come and visit us and talk to staff. Key Requirements • need to be creative, understand how children learn and be able to form excellent relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents. • have experience of working with pupils with significant needs • predominantly work in a 1-1 capacity, but you must also be prepared to work within a whole class setting and be flexible to work across the school as and when needed. • work with small group work with children who have additional needs (SEND) in addition to undertaking other duties which support the education and well-being of all pupils. • be expected to maintain the high standards established in our school and use strategies in liaison with the teacher to support pupils to achieve their full potential in their learning. • also be expected to prepare, maintain and use any equipment/resources required in order to deliver the planned relevant leaning activity. • have strong organisational and interpersonal skills. • have energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude. • be passionate about working with children who have SEN • be willing to become a First Aider and to support children with personal care needs, if required How to apply If you would like to be considered for this role, please fill in the attached application form along with the equality form, including a covering letter and email to admin3011@welearn365.com.
