Main duties of the job
In accordance with the practice timetable, the post-holder will undertake duties including:
* Surgery consultations and emergencies
* Home visits
* Compiling and issuing prescriptions using electronic prescribing services
* Prescribing in line with national guidelines
* Preparing medical reports and examinations for insurance and other purposes
* Managing referral letters (NHS and private)
* Handling paperwork and hospital correspondence
* Checking and managing pathology and test results
* Assessing healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated problems
* Screening for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
* Developing care plans in consultation with patients, according to current protocols
* Providing counselling and health education
* Admitting or discharging patients and referring as appropriate
* Recording consultation notes accurately and promptly
* Carrying out all normal duties associated with a GP in primary care
* Completing care plans for local enhanced services
About us
Kingswood Surgery, located in Tunbridge Wells, is a long-established practice serving approximately 11,300 patients. We are supported by a team of GPs, a Paramedic Practitioner, nursing staff, and administrative support. We utilize EMIS Web and Anima systems and provide a range of enhanced services.

Qualifications
* Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
* On the NHS performers list
* Professional indemnity cover
* Postgraduate qualifications in primary care
Experience
* Experience in general practice or primary care
* Managing diverse clinical presentations
* Teamwork experience
* Commitment to high-quality care
* Strong decision-making and communication skills
* IT proficiency, including EMIS and Microsoft Office
* Experience in Women's Health and teaching/supervision
* Knowledge of local health systems
