Overview
Due to continued business growth and our advancing project portfolio, we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the design, construction, and delivery of a Desalination Plant that will support the Sizewell C project.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of the desalination works — from planning and design through to construction, commissioning, and handover. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the project meets its quality, safety, schedule, and budget objectives while maintaining the highest technical and environmental standards. You’ll work closely with contractors, designers, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and integration of the desalination plant within the wider project.
Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of the desalination plant, including design, construction, testing, and commissioning.
* Manage project schedules, budgets, and change control processes to ensure successful outcomes.
* Coordinate technical and engineering activities, resolving issues effectively to keep the project on track.
* Oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with project and safety requirements.
* Foster strong collaboration across project teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
* Promote best practices in safety, health, and environmental management throughout the project.
* Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team, ensuring alignment with project goals and delivery milestones.
* Ensure all work complies with relevant standards, procedures, and governance requirements.
* Oversee successful handover of the desalination plant to operational teams.
Preferred Profile / Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
* Professional project management certification.
* Strong understanding of water treatment or desalination systems and relevant regulatory requirements.
* Proven experience managing major construction or infrastructure projects from design through delivery.
* Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
* Track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time and within budget.
* Experience managing and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
* Background in highly regulated or large infrastructure environments, such as energy or utilities.
* Understanding of environmental management and sustainability practices.
