Join to apply for the Chef role at Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust. The catering department at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital is looking to recruit a part-time qualified and experienced Chef to work within our Winter Garden Restaurant, producing a hot meal service for staff, patients and visitors.
Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook and store meals for staff and hospital hospitality in accordance with standardised recipes.
* Provide a high quality service delivering safe and nutritious food to patients, staff and visitors in compliance with Food Safety Regulations.
* Complete all control paperwork and perform general cleaning duties as part of the production team.
Qualifications
* City & Guilds 7061 & 2 or equivalent
* Level 3 Food Safety Certificate
* Experience working in a similar catering environment
* Good communication skills; able to work on own initiative
* Flexibility to work additional shifts as required
Hours and pattern
Hours: 24.5 hours per week based on a two-week rota.
* Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday 10:30 – 17:00
* Week 2: Monday and Tuesday 06:30 – 14:00; Wednesday and Thursday 10:30 – 17:00
