About the Role:
A specialist SEN school in Rochdale is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join their team immediately. This is a full-time role supporting pupils with complex learning needs, including autism, PMLD, and physical disabilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher, maintaining a positive and structured learning environment, and ensuring pupils are engaged and supported throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise classes across a range of subjects, following pre-prepared lesson plans
Support pupils with a variety of complex needs, ensuring their safety and engagement
Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to manage behaviour and learning
Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and classroom activity
Uphold safeguarding and inclusion policies at all times
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working in an SEN setting or with pupils who have additional needs
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to adapt quickly and remain calm under pressure
Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply)
Teaching or support qualifications are beneficial but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
