Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity in a supportive primary school environment? We are seeking a confident and motivated HLTA to join a welcoming mainstream primary setting in the Blackburn and Darwen area. About the Role
As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with class teachers, deliver planned lessons, and provide targeted support to pupils who need additional guidance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a varied role and enjoys taking initiative within the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver pre‑planned lessons across KS1 and KS2
* Provide small‑group and 1:1 support to pupils
* Assist with planning and assessment where required
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Support the wider school team with interventions and enrichment activities

* HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
* Strong classroom management skills
* Ability to lead learning independently
* A positive, proactive and flexible approach
* Experience within a primary school setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
