We're looking for a confident and proactive individual to join our internal sales team on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave - with opportunities for growth, internal training, and future career progression. As the first point of contact for our valued customers, you'll be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while driving sales growth. You will manage a mix of inbound and outbound calls, respond to support emails, generate accurate quotes using internal pricing software, and follow up on enquiries and quotations to convert opportunities into orders. You'll work collaboratively across departments, ensuring customers get timely, effective solutions, and you'll thrive in a results-driven environment where your efforts directly impact the bottom line. Main Tasks & Responsibilities: Handle inbound customer enquiries via phone and email with professionalism and efficiency. Generate accurate quotes using our internal pricing tools and software. Follow up on sent quotations and proactively drive conversions. Make outbound calls to build rapport, follow up, and close deals. Achieve sales targets and KPIs - and go beyond them. Maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to drive satisfaction, retention, and growth. Collaborate with other internal departments to ensure top-tier customer service and accurate delivery timelines. Review basic customer project documents (e.g., schedules, drawings), supported by our technical team for more complex enquiries. Identify upselling opportunities and offer relevant product solutions. Assign support tickets and calls to appropriate departments for resolution. Key Skills: Proven track record in internal sales, account management, or customer service with sales elements. Target-driven mindset with a passion for smashing KPIs. Excellent phone and email etiquette - professional, clear, and confident. Ability to upsell and handle objections effectively. Experience using CRM systems & sales software. Technically minded and detail-oriented when preparing accurate quotes. Able to think on your feet, manage your time effectively, and prioritise tasks under pressure. Strong interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal. Team player who can also work independently. Industry experience is a plus, but not essential - we'll train the right person.
