Overview
Your Role as a Post Person with Driving is to be the face of Royal Mail in your community. You will navigate delivery routes, provide exceptional service, and ensure every parcel and letter reaches its destination safely come rain or shine. This role is about serving the heart of the community and staying active outdoors when delivering letters and parcels.
Responsibilities
* Deliver letters and parcels on foot and/or by driving, following delivery routes and schedules.
* Provide friendly and reliable customer service to recipients and address any delivery concerns.
* Ensure all items are handled securely and reach their destination safely.
* Adapt to flexible shift patterns and demonstrate teamwork to cover varying hours as needed.
Requirements
* Driving Licence: Full, manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Physical Fitness: Be prepared to walk long distances (approximately 20,000 steps a day) and carry a bag weighing up to 16 kg.
* Flexibility: Shifts can vary; we need team players who can adapt at short notice.
Important to Know: While some roles involve driving, the majority of the work is on foot, delivering letters and parcels directly within the community. This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy being outdoors and staying active throughout the day.
