Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools in Bromley
Location: Bromley
Type: Supply (Daily / Short-term)
Working Hours: 08:30am – 4:00pm
Salary: £90 – £120 per day
At Engage Education, we’re working closely with a number of secondary schools across Bromley to recruit reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to support on a supply basis, covering both planned and unplanned staff absences. You can set your availability week by week, making this role ideal for those seeking part-time or full-time flexibility.
About the Role
* Covering lessons across the school for PPA time or staff sickness
* Delivering pre-set work across a range of subjects
* No previous Cover Supervisor experience required
* A degree is essential
* Must have experience working with young people (e.g. support worker, youth worker, sports coach, TA, mentoring roles)
* Behaviour can be challenging at times, so you’ll need to be adaptable, confident, and personable
Your Role as a Cover Supervisor
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise pupils while they complete pre-planned work in the absence of teaching staff. Your primary focus will be classroom management and behaviour, ensuring learning continues smoothly.
* Supervising pupils and ensuring completion of set work
* Managing classroom behaviour effectively
* Supporting pupils with questions where appropriate
* Following school behaviour and safeguarding policies
* Collecting completed work and passing it to the relevant Head of Department
* Providing brief feedback on pupil engagement and behaviour
