An exciting opportunity for an Audit Team Leader has arisen within the Corporate Services Department. You'll be responsible for running audits for an extensive range of diverse clients from SME's to large-sized, complex groups.
As an Audit Team Leader your day to day work will encompass:
* Working closely with managers and directors to undertake audit risk assessments, audit planning and to deal with audit and accounting issues arising during your work
* Ensuring the delivery of audit assignments in a timely and cost effective manner
* Assess the progress of audits and provide guidance and support to junior staff including on client site
* Extensive liaising with clients throughout the audit processes of planning, fieldwork and completion
* Involvement in ACA students' training and development and staff review process
* Preparation of statutory financial statements for big 4 firm's audit clients
* Valuation Work
* Acquisition and disposal due diligence exercises
* Review and documentation of internal control procedures and systems
We are looking for someone with:
* Recently qualified or experienced ACAs or ACCAs
* Excellent technical skills
* First class client handling skills
* Ability to work on one's own initiative in the research and application of technical knowledge is essential.
* Varied statutory audit and accounts preparation experience
* A strong and up-to-date knowledge of FRS 102 & ISAs (preferably also of IFRS but not essential)
* Good communication and inter-personal skills
* A team approach to working and a 'can do' attitude
* Ability to delegate to and supervise junior staff
* Ability to work under pressure to a high standard
* Good IT skills and receptive to technology changes
