Overview
We are seeking a Specialist Occupational Therapist who will hold an occupational therapy caseload and contribute to staff training and consultation, using innovative approaches to enhance the quality of life and outcomes for pupils.
Responsibilities
* Hold and manage an occupational therapy caseload.
* Work under the support of a designated clinical supervisor and site lead.
* Participate in staff training and consultation as required.
* Use evidence‑based practice and innovative interventions to support pupils’ independence.
* Engage in multi‑disciplinary team meetings and help improve service performance.
* Communicate regularly with families/relatives and carers.
* Supervise staff and students as appropriate.
* Maintain safeguarding culture, confidentiality, record‑keeping and information governance.
* Participate in quality improvement activities and enhance service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
* BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy.
* Registered with HCPC and a member of RCOT.
* Relevant experience in LD, SEMH, neuro‑divergence, autism or educational settings.
* Strong clinical reasoning and ability to explain rationale.
* Good communication, analytical and judgement skills.
* Understanding of behaviour‑communication relationships and physical, dexterity, coordination, and sensory needs.
* Knowledge of neuro‑divergence, learning disability, trauma‑informed practice and relevant legislation.
* Experience in multi‑disciplinary working and service/team performance.
Desirable
* 3+ years practising as an OT.
* Formal postgraduate study in Sensory Integration, developmental trauma or sensory attachment.
* Willingness to travel for company business.
* Creative problem‑solving, flexible work approach, ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
Salary & Benefits
Salary up to £53,200 FTE, depending on experience. Welcome bonus of £3,000 – two instalments of £1,500 each (one after one month, one after probation).

Employment Details
Contract: Permanent (term‑time only or flexible full‑time, subject to discussion).
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am–4.30pm.
