Role Overview
The role provides high‑quality support to all aspects of the Development function of the Development and Investment Service within the Growth and Development Directorate, focusing on the city centre. You will be an integral part of a highly professional team that delivers development and property advice, support and input to regeneration schemes, development proposals and the Council’s investment portfolio, underpinning the Council’s growth ambitions, policies and strategies.
The Development Team facilitates and supports high‑profile development schemes, offering a varied and exciting workload. Candidates will work on key development and regeneration projects, helping the Council to achieve its financial and housing ambitions – 32,000 new homes, including 6,400 affordable units – and supporting the MCC’s Climate Change Action.

 * Performance Management: Use performance management to monitor the performance of the team and service priorities against KPIs, establish clear targets and ensure continuous improvement.
 * Management: Effectively manage and prioritise own workload and that of others.
