This care village comprises 47 independent living apartments as well as an 85 bedded nursing, residential and dementia care home. Role
Care Assistant – Bank/Ad-hoc hours
Responsibilities
* Provide care for residential and dementia residents on an “as and when” basis to cover annual leave and adhoc sickness. Rotas are planned in advance with notice of days/weeks to be covered, including day and/or night shifts.
* Support residents to promote choice, individuality and independence; work as part of a close-knit team.
Qualifications
* Physically and medically able to carry out duties with or without assistive aids
* NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualifications; willingness to attend training if not held
* Team player, self-motivated, proactive, flexible and adaptable
* Ability to organise and prioritise workload and work under pressure
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
