We produce coleslaw, potato salad, salad bar bulk products (2kg), pasta salads and couscous/grains for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Morrisons, Co-op, Asda, Aldi, Sainsbury's, Nando's and Pizza Hut. Our Spalding site has a restaurant with hot food available to all our colleagues. What you'll be doing As Specifications Technologist you will ensure that all customer specifications, pack copies and artwork are accurately set up and key customer documentation is produced in line with critical path timescales and launch deadlines. Set up approval for external specifications and relevant technical information in accordance with customer requirementsReview copy artwork, in line with updated customer technical and labelling policies, and include all regulatory changes that will impact on the accuracy of the pack information and labellingDocument procedures to ensure that internal and customer compliance is met, and the relevant process development practices are adoptedReviewing raw material specification content to develop "gold standard" specifications for each raw material to improve complianceValidation of specifications and processes to identify synergies and scope for consolidation through a continuous improvement processOperate in compliance with Health Safety and Environment policy to ensure that the working environment remains safe for all colleaguesWhat we're looking for We're proud to be recognised in the Gender Equity Measure Top 100 for our commitment to gender equality.Desired: educated to HND level or equivalent professional qualificationHolds a level 2 food hygiene and a level 2 health and safety certificationExperience working with computers and experienced in using web-based customer specification systemsKnowledge and experience of writing specifications for retailers in food manufacturing environmentKnowledge of legal labelling legislation and application Knowledge and experience of variety of retailer own web-based systems If this sounds like you, join us and grow with Greencore, and be a part of driving our future success.
