About the Role:
Live‑in care for a 50‑year‑old gentleman with a C5 spinal cord injury following a swimming accident. A proactive and independent client who enjoys company, laughter, and shared meals.
Location:
B76 – a peaceful area with local amenities, shops and transport links.
Rota & Pay:
- Approximately 2 weeks live‑in at a time; shift pattern may shift slightly while being established.
- If eligible, part of our Standby rota working from home.
- Pay rate: £140.47 per day.
- Competitive travel allowance for each placement.
- Food provided by the client.
Live‑In Care Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care, mobility, meal preparation and daily living activities.
- Provide support with spinal injury care and encourage independence.
- Observe and record the client’s health status and ensure safety and well‑being.
- Arrange transportation for appointments, outings and travel when required.
Driver Requirements:
- Clean driver’s licence and confidence driving for daily outings.
- Must be happy to drive the client’s adapted vehicle and support regular community outings.
Training & Support:
Paragon is a specialist provider of spinal cord injury and complex care. Full training before you start, and time given to familiarise yourself with the routine. No previous experience with spinal care is needed.

Responsibilities:
- Observe and record the client’s health status.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living.
- Ensure the client’s safety.
- Maintain client confidentiality.
- Notify clients of changes in medications.
- Arrange transportation for client appointments.
