Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
* Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food is served.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
* Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
* Participate in menu planning and development by providing input on new dishes or improvements to existing ones.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant environment.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in food preparation.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
