Your new role is to deliver moments that matter at the Sofa Delivery Company. As a Warehouse Team Leader, you oversee day‑to‑day operations on site and lead by example.
What you'll be doing
* Supporting the CDC operation and owning customer orders.
* Partnering with the transport team for efficient inbound supplier deliveries and outbound customer orders.
* Ensuring high standards of customer service are delivered by your team, in line with the DFS customer promise and operational excellence.
* Meeting customer expectations through efficient operations and people practices, including managing absence, holidays, banked days and overtime.
* Leading by example and maintaining high standards.
* Maintaining Health & Safety and housekeeping compliance in the warehouse.
* Recruiting warehouse colleagues, conducting interviews and providing timely feedback within SLAs.
* Providing a great induction for all new starters using the standard operative induction guides.
* Reviewing team performance and giving regular feedback to ensure performance meets expectations.
