Engineer – Materials Production Scale-up

Core Responsibilities
* Contribute to R&D efforts in bio-based material and process development
* Assist in scaling processes from lab to pilot-scale production
* Manage defined work packages under supervision
* Operate and maintain lab and pilot-scale equipment
* Conduct testing and characterisation of materials
* Analyse and document experimental data
* Help formalise processes into standard operating procedures
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver project goals
* Adhere to health, safety, and compliance requirements
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Process Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience
* 2+ years of relevant industry or research experience
* Familiarity with lab-scale and pilot-scale process development and testing
* Understanding of statistical quality and process control (e.g. LSS, TQM, SPC)
* Knowledge of polymers, biomaterials, or textile processing is advantageous
* Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of interdisciplinary teams
* Proficient in standard digital tools (spreadsheets, documentation, presentation software)
* Must have legal right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship may be available
