We’re working with schools across North Tyneside to find a Mental Health Support Worker who’s compassionate, grounded, and ready to support young people navigating social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
This is a role with heart and purpose—perfect for someone who believes in second chances and small wins.

What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting children and young people with SEMH needs across school settings
* Working closely with pupils with Autism, complex learning needs, and EHCPs
* Encouraging emotional regulation, resilience, and positive routines
* Creating a calm, respectful learning space where pupils feel safe and understood
* Helping students build confidence and reconnect with their learning journey

What we’re looking for:
* Someone who’s patient, empathetic, and genuinely committed to inclusive education
* Experience working with young people with additional needs (education, care, or community backgrounds welcome)
* Confidence in managing behaviour with a trauma-informed approach
* Brilliant communication skills and the ability to work as part of a wider support network
