GROUP PARTS MANAGER
Fantastic opportunity for a Parts Manager who has experience managing big teams to step up and become a Group Parts Manager.
Location of the Group Parts Manager / Parts Manager / Automotive Parts Manager / Regional Parts Manager: Needsto be commutable distance to either Wellingborough or Bury.
Salary of the Group Parts Manager: £50,000.00 - £60,000.00 basic pa PLUS BONUS. Vehicle Provided
Hours of Work for the Group Parts Manager / Automotive Parts Manager / HGV Parts Manager: Monday to Friday 08:00am - 17:30pm
My client is looking for an experienced Parts Manager who has HGV or Commercial Vehicle Parts Experience and has previously managed big or large parts teams to come in and take the next step as Group Parts Manager. You will be responsible for the Parts Departments for the entire Group. As the Group Parts Manager you will be located anywhere between Northampton or Bury St Edmunds or within in a commutable distance to either location.
Reporting to Aftersales Director, the Group Parts Manager is responsible for driving sales within the Parts function across the group, developing and maintaining the aftersales service provided to the customer in the region.
Essential duties and responsibilities for the Group Parts Manager / Automotive Parts Manager / Regional HGV Parts Manager:
Maximise the profitability of the Parts function across all branches, including actively seeking new business opportunities, in conjunction with Branch Managers and Business Development Executives Ensure all branches are compliant with Dealer Operating standards within the Parts Departments and that the group policies and processes are adhered to
Stock management, including stocktaking, control of VOR/Freight charges across the group network, processing returns, non-stock management and stock-turn
Ensure all invoice related queries are dealt with in a timely manner for all branches within the region
Remain up to date with all relevant legal requirements
Selection and recruitment of Parts staff (in conjunction with Branch Manager)
Ensure training plans are implemented for all relevant branch Parts staff
Contribute to the development of all operating and administrative systems to ensure that quality, efficient and timely work is carried out
Achieve and strive to exceed customer service level expectations and agreements, and maintain a high level of customer contact
Control DSM / TSL changes weekly
Budgeting in conjunction with After Sales Director
Actively participate in all campaigns and competitions including DDA and Depot of the Year
Ensure resources are available to ensure premises fire/security measures are adequate at all times, and all building maintenance, tools and equipment, and company vehicles are maintained to statutory and manufacturer standards
Other general duties as designated by the After Sales Director
Group Parts Manager requirements To perform this role successfully:
Technical knowledge
Experience within the automotive industry – Preferable HGV / Commercial Vehicle Parts
Management experience
Experience of managing financial budgets
Group Parts Manager / Parts Manager Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Current driving licence
Ability to work within a team
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Possess excellent accuracy and numeracy skills
High level of computer literacy
Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety requirements
Ability to work within guidelines and to deadlines
Ability to work under pressure and have a solution driven approach
Excellent organisation and analytical skills
